[Shotimes] headliner questions

I have removed the headliner panel from my 91 SHO, and stripped it of the
nylon cloth. I am left with a very thin layer of open-cell foam, olive drab
in color.

I have a roll of headliner material from J. C. Whip-Me. It is a nearly
perfect match to the original nylon tricot cloth in both texture and color.

I previously asked about recovering the headliner and was told to make sure
that I removed all old adhesive from the headliner. Maybe I'm overlooking
something, but the OD foam does not seem to bear any adheasive at all.

I have a spray can of 3M "Super 77 Multipurpose Adhesive." Is that okay for
attaching the new cloth to the old headliner? Or shall I look for something
else?

Thanks for any tips.
