Blake-

I would assume that the KOEO codes were stored in memory rather than a result of the test. The PIP is an indication of the crank position sensor. The symptoms of a failing crank sensor are a cutting out of the engine, sometimes briefly then increasing in duration to where the car will not start for a while. Sometimes, these occurrences do not leave codes.

I have not experienced a CID failure (knock, knock) but I understand that rough running and hard starting are typical. The camshaft position sensor is much easier to access and if your codes return, this is what I would change first.

I pulled my engine codes this morning because my car was studdering under normal accelertaion and the check engine light came on. These are the codes that I got:
KOEO: 565- CANP solenoid circuit failure
211- PIP ciruit fault
214- CID circuit failure
KOER: 111- System clear

Doese anyone know if these codes could be what is wrong and what they mean? Thanks in advance.
