Its your choice. If you use the factory wiring, there is a harness that will
bypass the premium sound amp in the trunk and allow the amp in you new head
unit to power the speakers.
If, for some unknown reason, you would prefer to use the factory amp to
power the speakers, there is a more expensive harness that will let you do
that too.
When I got my Alpine unit, Crutchfield supplied the bypass harness at no
charge and offered the other one at a price.
