Subject: A SHO in Distress!
Hi my name is David. I was hopping maybe you can help me. I know this is not
what your contact is intended for but I am lost and need help desperately. I
have a 1993 ATX SHO and I was doing my regular detailing, as I always do on my
car too keep it looking it's best. Well, I have been using a product called
Foamy Engine Bright: it's supposed to be a high powered engine degreaser.
Well, I was having problems getting the stuff out of the can and it was more
than half full. When I finally got the sprayer to work I applied it to the
block as I always do to remove grease and grime. Well, after I let it sit for
five minutes and ATTEMPTED to wash it away it left a lovely GOLDISH glow all
over my engine!!! It came off with some other degreaser, but it required a lot
of elbow grease. I then ran out of that degreaser and it was taking too much
time to get it off, I was using steel wool...Is there anything I can do to
bring my engine back to it's healthy silver glow?! can you maybe suggest a
high powered stain remover? Or a paint I can buy that wont drastically change
the color of my engine? WHAT CAN I DO?! PLEASE HELP ME!
