Bruce,
Do NOT put the 94/95 size pads by anyone on the 96 brake
upgrade. Yes, they will fit, but they leave a band of the
disk untouched on the outer edge. Eventually this will
create a lip on the outer edge of the disk that can
seriously effect braking under some circumstances.
Use the OEM Ford 96 and up brake pads. They give superb
braking ability, are resistant enough to heat to handle
short on-track sessions, and don't dust as much as other
brands. They also last a long time, so value for
performance, they are a GOOD value. I don't say that about
many Ford OEM parts.
The PF Carbon Metallic pads are so cold natured that I don't
recommend them, braking performance suffers in cold weather
and the first few stops of the day.
Carbotech is no longer available in the type of pad I really
love, but there are other aftermarket pads that you might
consider, but these are really only needed if you go racing
seriously, for street use, the OEM pads are just about perfect.
