Going to the 598 pad is part of the reason for doing the 96 upgrade in the
first place. Plus, you will get a poor wear pattern on your rotor, since the
pad will not wear the full rotor surface.

Subject: [Shotimes] Front 96+ upgrade

Anyone have any input on what I should do for brake pads in the front for my
96+ upgrade? I was just going to use the Ford pads (SM) that are on my 94
calipers (replaced at 55k by PO) which are still in really really great
shape,
but I can get the PFC Cabron Metallic pads at autozone today for $30.
Granted
that they are the 601 size and not the 598, but I figure that I'm not really
missing out on that much extra sweep at least for now. Alternatively I could
wait a few weeks and then order up a set of the Carbotech F-Streets whenever
Josh has them back in stock. Kinda need thoughts on this quick cause I'm
thining of heading to Autozone right now.

Thanks
