I just paint the whole thing, the first 15 mins of breaking is dangerous but
after that its all cooked off and saves a lot of time

The best solution here is to pony up for zinc-washed rotors from the get-go.
However, if you want to work with what you have, you can sand blast the
inner areas of the rotors (mask off the braking surface with duct tape) and
then paint them with a high temp paint. This has worked well for me, but it
is very labor intensive and dependent on a proper choice of paint. I used
POR-15 high temp grey.
Most people just don't worry about it.
