[Shotimes] Speedo Cable Retaining Clip

You need to specify WHICH end of the cable you are working with.
If it's at the speedo head, you have to squeeze the clip properly to release
it.
At the connection in the engine compartment, pull the metal wire clip and
then separate the halves.
At the tranny, you're on your own, haven't done that one.
At the speedo head, it's easier if you disconnect the halves, then remove
the cluster from the dash , pulling the cable from the firewall. Once you
can actually see the speedo head connection, it's easy to see how to
disconnect it. I have large hands, so I can't get to the connector while it
is still installed in the dash.
My experience is on an 89. Since you didn't SAY what you're working on.....
