Al, you do what suits you. Two thoughts to offer you:

1) I thought you said the three main design goals for this car were cheap, cheap, and (let me think about this for a minute... oh,
yeah, now I remember) cheap. As ye Photoshop, so shall ye pay. I hope we don't have to worry about our Al Fitzgerald, pillar of
sensible SHO thinking, getting seduced? It is the tradition among hot rodders, standing at the top of the slippery slope, to lower
their trousers and grease their backsides for the trip down. :-)

2) The LEDs are fine, but I'm not crazy about the recess caused by removing the taillamp housings. If you're determined to do
something fun, how about we work together. I have invested a few bucks and hours in converting Taurus taillamp housings to hold
three (3) round LED lamps, wired with a sequencer. Yup, from the outside it looks like a stock lamp, but when it's time to turn, lo
and behold, LEDs flash in the manner of Cougars of yore.

Let's talk. I think your SHO roadster would be stronger if it emphasizes the ragtop, shorter wheelbase, and two-door sides.
Preserving the stock front and rear keeps it from getting weird.

I was playing with the idea of customizing the rear of this roadster and did some photo mods. What do you think of this design? The
lights will actually be the LEDs from GEN II spoilers. I have the picture at the bottom of my roadster page:
