Victor,
I believe 542 is erroneous. It's thrown any time the car stalls etc.,
AFAIK. New O2's and you should be set.

Finally got around to checking error codes yesterday (Chicago = 69
degrees - who hoo!), got 171,173 and 542.
Looked them up;
172 & 173 = O2 sensor not switching is/was lean(172) or rich(173).
542 = Fuel pump open, bad ground, always on.
the test was done only to get stored codes, the CE light has been
coming
on (first sporadically, now regularly) after running for two-three
minutes, sometimes extinguishes when/after driving @2-2.5K rpm in
lower
gears (2-3rd).
My question is; are these two sets of codes at all related?
