[Shotimes] tranny mount?

A while ago back, someone was asking about a "rubbery" sound when they
shifted in an MTX.  If you are that person, did you figure out what it 
was?

Along with this, what are some signs that a tranny mount might be bad?

I'm getting some creaking and moaning from right under the floor under the
dash.  It seems too far forward to be from the shifter.  I won't get a 
chance
to get under the car to check it out for a little while.  I'm envisioning 
the mount
as a steel piece with rubber in the middle somehow.  Would I be looking 
for
cracks or breakage in the rubber part or the steel?
