A minivan makes a better SUV for most people than a true SUV.  The only advantage of the SUV is its appearance.  A true SUV only matters to the small percentage of people who take theirs off-road or live in areas where it is an advantage in the winter.

If there was a button on my desk that I could push and all SUV's that have not been offroad in 12 months would turn into minivans, guess what I would do....
