[Shotimes] Replacement waterpump

Just outta curiosity, I got my replacement waterpump for the front of my 60k.
The shaft with the impeller turns, but it sure seems like alot of energy would
be wasted turing this. I don't think it is defective cause it turns nice and
smooth, but at the same time I don't want to put it in just to have and pull
it back out if it is supposed to turn with little effort. Any thoughts on
this?
