Some people have expressed an interest in a small gathering.

the problem is that those getting their cars worked on are
generally coming in for a day and leaving, or staying one
night, then another one or two come in. No general meeting
is planned.

So far it seems like a few people may show up either Friday
the 28th or Saturday the 29th.

Since the first "job" isn't till Saturday, Friday night is
the ideal time for any get together, although I have invited
Kirk to see a fight...er, hockey game on Saturday night
where our Peoria Rivermen are playing for home ice advantage
for yet another league championship. (reallyi pretty good
hockey for AAA? East Coast Hockey League stuff).

We will be going out for dinner somewhere Friday night. If
Pizza is OK, then I plan on taking Kirk for the best pan
pizza I have found, and nice cold beer in peoria, best to
start by 6pm of getting a seat is tough in the "big city". :)

We should all meet at my house: Directions:

Washington, IL. Located about 5 miles East of Peoria, On
State Route 24.

From Route 24 take Washington Exit South through town. Go
straight through the square (stop for the sign and traffic
in the flow!) and go 9 more blocks to 902 S. Main (dark
green plastic mailbox, small white house). Pass the little
white house, and if there are people at the green garage,
catch us there, otherwise, follow the drive to the yellow
house at the back of the drive.

coming from Interstate 74, take the Morton AVE. Exit SOUTH
coming from the West, then at the light (Really BAD Ford
dealer on your left if you are on the correct road) Turn
left. You are now on Route 150 going East. Follow this out
of town about 5 miles to the crossroad called "Washington
Road". Turn left or North go another 6 or 7 miles. About
1/8 mile after the speed drops suddenly to 30 (cops love to
radar at this point!) look for the green mailbox, 902 S.
Main, follow directions above to house.

Coming from Interstate 74 from the east, take exit 112,
Route 117 going north towards Eureka. At the stoplight in
Eureka turn left onto Route 24. Take the Main Street South
exit left or south and follow directions above to house.

Try to reply to me and the list so we know how many are
coming. If you are coming another day, we can probably find
something to do, we have the gambling riverboat (also known
as "visit our area and leave us your cash") There is live
Jazz downtown, cook it yourself steaks, Hooters (ask me
about the story about this!) and if you come the weekend of
the 4th-6th, we have our big area auto show, with last years
dream cars on display and you can actually sit in the new
Lumina! (or Grand Am, or maybe even touch a BMW!).
Seriously, this isn't the Detroit or even Chicago auto show,
but it is a good one for a small mid-major city.

OR we could drink brewskys in the garage and look at
cars....always a good option.
