Check out SHONUT. Josh lists a clip that will hold the ball joint together.
The other cable has a hole with rubber bushing that fits over a pin. the
rubber bushing breaks/rots/vanishes. Make a sleeve to take up the slop and
use another clip to hold it together. The cable shifter will feel like new.
