You should be able to find the clips at NAPA or almost any parts store.
Once you take the panel off, you'll know if an what type you may require.

Operating temp should not exceed 210-215 F in most cases.  This assumes you
have an accurate aftermarket guage.  No not rely on the factory temp guage
as an accurate indicator of actual temperature.  If the stock guage hits the
RED portion, you know you have a problem.
