[Shotimes] Stiff go pedal

I just drove my friend's 95 mtx 3.2/Quaife/etc etc

Torquey; just one problem that I noticed. His gas pedal is really stiff.
Is this caused by a stretched throttle cable or a problem with spring
tension and the number of springs on the cable? I've seen the topic come
up before, but I don't recall what the deal was.

His brake pedal felt like my gas pedal (soft) and his gas pedal felt
like my brake pedal (firm). Strange how driving other people's SHO's can
reveal problems or things that you may not have otherwise find.
