Another comment on the cars. I drove Ryan's for a couple of runs, pulling a
15.04 best, IIRC. His drives differently (tires, and weird shift into 3rd
with the bad subframe bushings). Hard for me to tell a difference, except
that Ryan's runs stronger. Dave Garber drove both Ryan's and my car. Dave's
take is that my car has better low-midrange torque, but doesn't pull the big
end (I made no ground on Dave's '99 in the 2nd 1/8 when I was in 3rd gear),
usually MTX SHOs freight-train the ATX cars in the 2nd 1/8. Dave said Ryan's
car felt more like his '95 with the better top-end pull (speaking of rpm
range and 2nd 1/8 on the strip).
