[Shotimes] SHOtimers long gone

Don,

Don't exactly remember how I found SFSN back then, but it was probably just
by poking around on Prodigy. I was already a member of the Registry, as I
still have a copy of the letter I wrote to Bill back in April '91 when I saw
a mention of the Registry in a tiny article in AutoWeek, and I wanted to
join.

Unfortunately, I missed the first two Conventions, but have been to the
rest. I still kick myself for not going to Peoria. I was living in the
Chicago area, and I was planning on driving down for one of the days
(Saturday, IIRC) to see what the deal was, but I never did. I didn't know
any other SHO owners except the folks on Prodigy. Later in '92 Eric Shea
mailed me a flyer about the SHOcago club, and I joined that. That was a
great group! They had planned a caravan to Atlanta for the 2nd Convention,
but that Convention was the only one that I truly could not make due to work
commitments.

As I go through my pictures from the earlier Conventions, I recognize faces,
but forget names. One of these days I'll have to load a number of these
early Convention pictures on my PictureTrail site.

Wasn't Vito's old SHO Sable (or was it a Taurus?) up for sale somewhere
within the last couple of years?

Ron,

sorry to say that I didn't save anything from the internet
on Prodigy.

Remember that in Dallas I put up a display for the internet
groups to raise interest at that convention?

I was on Prodigy sometime in 1991 (don't remember the exact
date, with the SFN topic and it lasted a long time till
Prodity started charging for each e-mail or something like
that.

I have had my '89 since that time in 1991 and was a charter
member of the SHO Registry. Bill STaib still has his '89.

I am not sure, but I might be the last person or one of the
last two or three that have been to every convention?

Anyone else make all of them? Ron?

remember Vito? I have a picture of him at one of the
conventions on the wall in my garage with that patented
scowl. Sure would be nice to find him and get him back to a
convention. He could be a lot of fun.
