DON'T EVER LOSE THAT!!! Thank god I had it because when I bought my car I
had NO keys but an aftermarket ignition key. I took it to ford and for $6
they cut me new keys to my car.

Subject: [Shotimes] original key

While waiting for my clutch to arrive, I've been doing other long
overdue jobs to my 92. Yesterday was installing the Eclipse 6.5s and
5x7s and the Alpine amp to power them that have been collecting dust for
months. While routing some wires, I ran across a hidden treasure. I
found the original ignition key, with a dog tag saying stamped "168C583
Record & Detach", and a handwritten tag saying "91 SHO Young". I've
taken a picture, which can be downloaded via anonymous FTP (anonymous
for the username, e-mail address for the password) at
ftp://email.aafp.org. Browse to \outbound\sho\key.jpg.

I love stumbling across this kind of stuff. The "91" part amuses me.
Does anyone know what the dog tag thing is? Ford assembly line itself,
or dealer oriented? Anyone know if I can use this to track down where
the car came from? I bought it at 100k, and when I first cleaned it out
I found a ferry receipt from somewhere in Michigan.
