[Shotimes] SHOtimers long gone

Like Mark N. said in a earlier post ... there are a few of us old timers ... original SHOTIMES members that have been here through thick and thin. Think I got on sometime 92 or 93 when I started Donelson motorsports.

There have been a few years where I was absent and not real active on the list. I think that year was when my car was at FPS getting the blower on it ... didnt see the car for almost a year !

Things have changed and u do have a lot of old faces and many many new faces too. I havent read all the post's but there was a guy who had attended all of the earlier conventions and I havent heard much of him lately. I know Don M knows him and if memory serves me correct he was accompanied by his son. How do i say this ... well , he was huge .. very big ! and wore overalls.

I have great memories over the years and some very good friends that I have met and dont regret a minute but with all the money I have spent over the past 10 years (which is considerable ); I would have spent the money on a good Cobra replica car.

I love my SHO and now having the knowledge of being able to build my own motors and trannies, well changing vehicles now is doubtful. Since I know how to tear down and build these motors ( now doing it for customers ) and now being able to do rebuild trannies and install quaifes ... it would be stupid to switch vehicles. Nothing worse in breaking something and not knowing what broke or how to fix the problem.

My ultimate goal is to get a 89 ( that i have in storage ) and get it ready to race SOLO I in SCCA racing.

Long live the SHO !
