You can always install the cupholders or storage bin that the rest of us got
instead of the factory CD player.  They are available in the junkyard from
any Taurus or Sable from '90 on.  I know Cincy SHO (www.cincysho.com) sells
a gauge cluster to fill this void, or you could probably make one up
yourself if you want to go that route.

It is a standard DIN, so there's a lot you can do stereo-wise, too.  You can
install an equalizer or a cool double-DIN head unit if you wanted to.

I wish all cars had the versatility of ours for stereos... : )
