That seems VERY odd you can't locate any bearings.  Have you tried all of
the big parts store chains, like Napa, Schucks (Kragen), and Autozone?  You
can also try their online websites - maybe they have a number you can call
to locate the parts.

Back when I did my bearings last August, they were pretty hard to come by,
but I was still able to find a place locally that had them in stock.

If you still don't have any luck, I'm sure there's someone out there with a
spare new set they'd be willing to sell you, or maybe someone can even
locate some and buy them for you...
