Hah! I remember something about that car!! I'll have to dig through my old
Registry magazines and reread it!

Wasn't it that those times were a "guesstimate", and not what he ran? I seem
to recall thinking that he was doing G-Tech runs with that car. Not sure
what you meant by a "wider overlap and longer lift"? Higher lift will help
low-end torque, as well as advancing the cams. Anyway, it was a vendor fluff
piece, IIRC.

I kinda filed that story in the same round file as the "32 HP" from the
Borla catback!!

Well if everyone on the list is sick of OT, this might make for a good
discussion.

I was reading some old SHO Registry magazines today when I came across an
article entitled "Super SHO II".

The article was basically an informative experience on Logicam camshafts
that
the owner had installed in his car.

The not so interesting: he claimed an all around the board increase from the
cams. I've never seen a set of "performance" cams for a high reving motor
that didn't drop the low end torque. This gentleman claimed that the low
end
torque was greatly increased. With a wider overlap and a longer lift, I'm
not
sure I can understand how this came to be. Logically, it makes no sense.

The very interesting: He made a very bold claim that the car did an 11.87
1/4
mile and a 5.0 (0 - 60) time. He was going to list his mods, but oh shucks,
it would have to wait for the next installment. :>)

Why I mentioned your name Don: The article stated that you were the first to
ride in this "Super SHO" so I figured that perhaps you or some of the other
oldies could shed some light on this.

That is all for today. Hope everyone is having a great extended weekend!
