I disagree.   It sounds like it's either the fuel pump check valve not
keeping fuel in the fuel rails, or the cam sensor.

Try turning the key on, then off, then on again to prime the fuel pump.
Then try starting it.  See if that helps.  If not, I'd try the cam sensor,
it's easy to get to.
