[Shotimes] Window trim info needed

I'm getting the bubbling at the bottom of one of the rear windows, and I
recall hearing about what a PITA it is to replace those pieces.

Has anyone come up with a method to refinish the existing trim pieces on the
car? I just poked out some of the corrosion, and colored it over with a
black Sharpie pen, but this is truly a stopgap measure!!

 Were you able to remove the old one intact? Did you replace it with a new
part? I destroyed 3 different cars in the junk yard attempting to pull it
out undamaged. I finally just gave up and decided that I would likely cause
more damage to my car than good. The Helm manual pretty much backed up what
I ran into. Any tips because I DON'T like finding any repair that I can't
do!
