[Shotimes] Sigh...Strikes again...:'(

Ok..so...here's my story...in case anyone cares to
hear. 

930- Get to my friend's house. It's "Replace Shylo's
Brake Pads and Rotors" Day. Jack up the Rear Passenger
Side, remove the wheel and the caliper. Inner Pad is
all but gone, and we have two nice sets of groves
(about 1/16-1/8 inch deep :( ). Try to push in the
caliper piston...

1000- Need a bigger C-clamp. Go into Hardware Store
and buy a 6-incher. 

1030- Back and at it again...

1130- Give up on the caliper piston...and move to the
other side to check its condition. Pads and Rotor
shot...

1230- FINALLY get the two bolts loose and get the
rotor and caliper off. NIETHER rear caliper pistons
will BUDGE AN INCH. Put both in a vice and niether
moved AT ALL. Called around and found that the local
Autozone had "Loaded" rear calipers...which I come to
find out meant that I didn't need my rear pads. $170.
(Sigh...ok...fine...I'll do it) 

100- Pick up new crap and go to return pads...

200- After arguing with the idiot for 45 minutes I
finally get my money back and return to the Garage...

300- Rotors and Calipers on. Bled the system, put the
tires on, and taking it for a test spin. Back out of
the garage, and the Rear Driver's Side Brake Line
blows...

330- AutoZone- Brake Lines and DOT 3...

400- Brake Line on...system bled...test spin...

430- Rear done...Food...finally...

500- Back at work...Passneger Tire off, pull off the
caliper (which btw) is a helluva lot easier to get off
then the rear), and remove pads (much better shape
then rear, no grooves in rotor either). Get new pads
out of the box and compare...

530- Finally track down the RIGHT brake pads. Seems I
need the "Police Package Pads With the Bigger Clip on
the Inner Pad" Ok Ford, why make an inner pad with two
different size clips?

600- Get the right pads...$10 dollars more...

630- Back at work

700- Front Passenger done, moving to Driver's...

730- EVERYTHING DONE!!! WOOHOO!!! Get in, foot on the
brake pedal. Straight to the floor. Well what the
hell???

800- Washer in REAR DRIVERS SIDE LINE
DISSAPPEARED...DOT 3 everywhere...

830- Everything fixed...Everything works...Clean up
time...

930- Clean up over...Miller time...Shower time...

Moral of the story is:

A 4 hour brake job on a Taurus SHO is the longest 4
hours of your life. 

Boy o' Boy don't I just love my car
