[Shotimes] clutch pedal issues

Bill, On my 92, the brake pedal is higher than the accelerator pedal and
the clutch pedal is a higher still, maybe 3/4 inch or so. The mechanism
is quite simple really if you study the schematics. All the clutch cable
does is to actuate the release lever. If you can borrow a helper, have he
or she hold up the clutch pedal or prop it up with a 7" block of wood.
Then get your hand down to where the cable end secures to the release
lever, and pull the cable out a smidge so there is very little pressure on
the lever. Then have the helper remove the block. This gets the pawl to
secure the cable. If you put too much slack in the cable, then you'll
know it because the clutch won't fully engage and you'll have trouble
shifting. To fix that, simply pull up on the clutch pedal and take out
clicks until you get the right engagement point.
