There's a bit more to the story...
One of the burger joints customers saw the cook preparing the burgers using
the arm pit method.
The customer said to the cook "That's disgusting...don't you have a tool?"
To which the cook replied "Yes, I have a tool, but I use it to make the
donuts."
(Insert rimshot)

That reminds me of an old rumor about a burger joint in NYC when I was
growing up. Supposedly the cook formed the burgers by slapping some ground
meat into his armpit and pressing down, then he's cook up what fell out.
That was what we called a pit-burger. Begs the question; Does the
Pittsburgher deluxe come w/fries and raw onion?
