[Shotimes] Clicking sound from dash

The last week or so when I deck the car from a dead stop, I'm hearing a
clicking sound coming from what sounds like the drivers side dash board
(maybe behind the gauges). It sounds like a relay clicking or almost
like a real bad case of pre-ignition. The thing is, it only happens from
a stop and in first gear while at full throttle. I have no idea WTF
could possibly cause something like that - any ideas?
