What you are saying is very true. However, to say the set limitations of anything will stop
everyone from doing something they really want to do is not so true. Drag racing or road racing, a
SHO strapping 400hp @ the wheels is a potential contender against many vehicles on the road.
Problem is, it'll take more then a bolt on to make a SHO bite quite right. Look at chubby's
berretta's.. I probably have seen over a handful of RWD converted little bastard cars w/ small and
big blocks. I'm sure Chubby never meant for that to be, either.
It's all a money game. Hell, if you have enough of it, i'm sure you can build your very own
production line of 19?? "Your Own Car Brand Name Here" Taurus'.. lol. That's going way too far
with it, but just because converting something to RWD would require a lot of work, that doesn't
mean it'll require a extremely large budget to everyone. Those people out there who do that kind
of custom work wouldn't pay as much as you would for something like that. Ditto for a lot of other
modifications for the SHO. For example, a newly designed intake meant for a better nitrous setup.
Or, optimized head flow w/ more then just a oversized valve and port 'n polish job here and
there...
That's just my point of view. Meaning, the yamaha design is so exclusive, it's very limiting. (for
ex. chubby 305s and 350 mate parts, ditto with some 302 and 351 parts.. Yamaha's 3.0, 3.2, and 3.4
don't mate with anything, really.. except air filters.. 'n not all the time, either! lol..)
