What all of you missed is that the car Kennedy was in when
he was shot was black. This car is white.
It clearly says that the car was used in Ft. Worth the day
before.
I don't think the ad is totally misleading, but if someone
doesn't read it close, they might get confused. The line
about leaving the interior as it was on "that fateful day"
is clearly an attempt to confuse some people.
Also, this isn't an auction, it is a buy it now sale. That
is clever, since an auction would peg the actual price
"value" of the vehicle and the dealer doesn't want that to
happen.
As usual, antique car dealers overprice anything they have
and are prepared to sit on it till the earth cools to a
barren rock!
Those are neat cars, and by itself, it would be worth maybe
$25,000 to $35,000. The celebrity status is a hard thing to
put a price on, but most celebrity cars fail to live up to
their billing. IN this case, this car is NOT in any way
worth a million, but if there is one person that just HAS to
have it, and they have more money than they know what to do
with, then good for them. The Kennedy thing holds a huge
fascination for a lot of people, but I would not pay a buck
to see the car Kennedy rode in the day before!
