FWIW, my buddy got the Michelins as replacements for the Tombstone tires on
his Explorer during the tire recall, and has been VERY happy with them.
Better ride, less noisy, and better bad-weather handling than the previous
tires.

Subject: [Shotimes] OT- seeking advice on SUV tires

My wife's Jeep Grand Cherokee needs new tires (245/70-16). I'm considering
the following tires and would like to hear from anyone who has experience
with
either of them. This vehicle is driven mostly on pavement but does go
offroad
some (just think, an SUV that DOES go offroad!), but is almost never driven
on
snow.

Bridgestone Deuler H/L

Michelin Cross Terrain SUV

Both of these have good ratings on tirerack, the Michelin is even higher
rated
than the Bridgestone, but is also significantly more expensive.
