[Shotimes] [OT] Air compressor blowing fuses

Even though it is on a 20A circuit remember the start up draw can be more
than that for a brief moment. What else do you have on that circuit? If
the compressor draws 20A and you have lights on that circuit as well then
you over the limit. That is my problem also; once I can guarantee a
dedicated line for a compressor I will likely get a nice sized one. It
would be nice to run a 240VAC line to the garage.

Subject: [Shotimes] [OT] Air compressor blowing fuses

While we're talking tools...

My big Craftsman air compressor is blowing fuses in my home when I turn it
on.

It happens so fast I can't hear the compressor start to turn over.

I've tried it on two different 20A circuits.

Any suggestions (other than to drag it to Sears service)?

Thanks,

Mark
