Thanks to you Ron for setting things up and keeping us headed in the right
direction! Anonda and I arrived home about 5 AM today, we left later than
the other NE guys, around 4 PM Sunday. Pretty good driving times, we hit a
lot of rain, as I'm sure the other guys did too.

We had a great time, I finally got to run the SLO, and yes, to confirm, it
is SLOW! 17.7 was my best, but I had fun anyhow. It was great to meet all
that were there, and put some faces to the emails. Lelli's was also an
excellent choice for dinner, that Filet Mignon was huge!

I'm guessing Fred made it home OK, I spoke with Kirk at about 8 PM Sunday,
and he said all was going well, except for traffic jams.

To everyone, thanks again for a great time!

Bob and Anonda

Guess somebody did a good "anti-rain dance" for us, because the weather
held! Rained hard on Friday night and early Saturday morning, but it stopped
about 10 AM, and didn't rain again until after 7 PM. As a few have
mentioned, the track was dry enough by close to 4 PM (rather than the usual
Noon start), and they left it open until near 6:30, so everyone got a number
of runs. Not as many as a typical Lapeer day, but I was amazed that we got
any in at all!! Would have hated to have all of the out-of-state folks drive
all that way for nothing!

Turned out to be an excellent time!! I didn't count, but I was told that we
had 30-35 cars at the track, and there were only maybe 10-15 "regular"
Lapeer customers, so we had the track to ourselves, mostly.

A number of us got together at Big Buck in Auburn Hills on Friday night,
then again later on Saturday night. At dinner in Lapeer on Saturday after
the track, we probably had around 35 folks there, and the restaurant did a
great job of getting us all seated on short notice at the dinner hour on a
Saturday night!

I want to thank everyone who came out, and I hope you all enjoyed
yourselves!! We had a large number of out-of-state folks from IL, OH, NY,
RI, MA and the Canadian folks. Also a large number of Gen 3 cars. All went
well except for Fred blowing 3rd gear while doing a track-dry-off run, and
also Ian getting a flat tire about 50 miles after getting brand-new Tire
Rack Pirellis installed.
