here is an email I wrote to the list in August 2002:

"Also fixed dead keyless remotes today... this is for a 1993, may or may 
not apply to earlier years.
Again, Radio Shack part # 23-160 (Lithium Battery CR2016H). You'll need two 
per remote @ $2.99 each.
Open the remote by popping it open from the groove on the side with a flat 
piece of metal or plastic.
If needed, reprogram as per in the FAQ under "care and feeding". Easy to 
do, use a paperclip to jump the harness in the trunk.
Another simple fix, maybe someone can use this info out there...
