[Shotimes] SHO Shop Flywheel questions?

Well the guy I'm getting the FW from called the SHOshop and they "have"
replacement ring gears on the shelf for $119. So I think I'm gonna work
out a little deal with this guy to get the money back to cover the cost
of a new ring gear, and I'll just make sure it is fixed right. Heck of a
lot cheaper than buying a new flywheel. All in all I am still getting a
great deal.

The ring gear is a replaceable part on every flywheel I have ever seen.
It is also a pressed-on separate steel part on every one I have ever
seen at the speed shop, even 2 or three piece aluminum race flywheels
with special inserts, etc.

What the heck is he talking about? Does he know?

Since my (Ford) flywheel is sitting on the floor right now, I went to
look at it. There are no bolts at all, and the only (threaded) holes are

for the pressure plate bolts. If they are stripped, I'd buy a new
flywheel, too critical.
