Funny you mentioned this...

I locked my keys in the trunk of my Lincoln LS V8 last week. Called a 
towing company, they came and got into the car, but the trunk wouldn't pop 
open because the car "knew" it was broken into. Apparently you have to 
unlock the car properly for the electronic trunk release to work. The seats 
fold down but you have to get into the trunk to release them.

So I called the local lincoln dealership and they offered to cut me a key 
to open the trunk... but I of course had to bring proof of ownership with 
me. They couldn't cut a key for the ignition because it would have to be 
programmed. They did cut the key for the trunk though, and did it for free 
at that!
