[Shotimes] my 89 SHO Sr 72 update

Dave,

Agreed that multi-piston race brakes are better in a lot of
ways, but the 96 upgrade with quality pads is worthy of
short track type events. I would want something better on
my '89 if I was doing 45 minute enduro's but for 15 to 20
minute sessions in a mostly stock SHO (BOS, 245 hp) and
using proper braking technique (late braking, get on them
hard then get off the brakes quick when done, in other
words, don't "ride" them like a lot of people do) the 96
upgrade won't fade, and is easily controllable at the limit
with race tires.

I have never had a problem with OEM Ford pads or Carbotech
pads. When given the chance at a SHO convention to learn
the track and get track time (hard to do the last three
years when running the event) I was always in the advanced
class and turning lap times with most of them, even equal to
some supercharged cars not driven to their extreme limit.

I would love to try some of the new systems, but love the
race wheels and slicers that I have, and even the new system
by Todd won't fit under those wheels without spacers, and I
don't like using spacers at all.
