Hi folks!
During a clutch replacement project, we found that the nose cone, that
cylindrical section of the bell housing upon which the clutch throw-out
bearing rides, has been worn down in the middle so that it has a coarse,
"coke bottle" taper in the mid secion. Any suggestions on how to fill up
the wear section with TIG or MIG weld and then mill it down to original
diameter?
Anyone know the stock diameter of the nose cone cylinder? Car is at A V
Auto in Linda Vista, tying up Andy's rack while we're awaiting help with
this one.
Thanks.
