Actually a solid center section is a big problem on dirt. Makes proper
setup quite difficult due to the use of tire stagger. It causes corner
entry and exit problems. This would only be used in divisions that don't
allow a locker or limited slip.

We had this when I was in high school in the rear of our 57 chevy. It was
popular with the dirt track racers back then. On pavement it requires that
one wheel slip when you make turns. For drag racing or dirt track racing
this is not a problem, but on the street or on a road course it will really
compromise your handling in turns.
