What I was relating was for small town sprint cars, about 35 years ago.
Those good ole boys don't go for sophisticated stuff.
We got a hand-me-down center section with 4.11 gears and put it in our 57
chevy back about 1973. We didn't have any problems with it driving it
around town or at the dragstrip, but when you took a sharp turn slow you
could hear the rear tires wanting to slip a little.
