He probably didn't own the car for that long, and/or doesn't really know
about cars and engines.  But, you would expect the dealer to know their
product line, right?

In the spring of 1990 I test drove an '89 .  It was sitting in the used car
section of my local Ford dealership.  The PO had traded it in because he
decided he didn't like driving an MTX.  Anyway, after I came back from my
test drive the salesman said, "That supercharger really gives the car some
kick, doesn't it?".  I bought my '91 Plus (in the fall of '91), at a
different dealership 45 minutes away.
