The cone filter looks cooler and will sound cooler but sucks hot, under hood
air into your engine. Not cool! I believe Paul Nimz has more solid data on
this.

If you want the ultimate filtering ability, you should probably use the
Amsoil oil filter. A little more restrictive than the K&N but keeps all that
dirt out of the engine.

Don Mallinson, the president of the SHO Club and an all around good guy,
used to own a dynamometer and ran some before and after on a panel K&N vs.
stock filter. I believe they were within 1/2 a HP of each other.
