I would not recommend a cone filter unless you can shield it from the
heated, underhood air. You'd want it to pull fresh, cool air from the
fender like the OEM air box does. The advantages of potential higher air
flow the cone would give you are negated otherwise.

Whatever you choose, also be sure to not over-oil the filter and
contaminate your MAF.

K&N cone
filter or the K&N regular box filter. Whats the best one for the money?
