Regarding my CD changer remote not turning on:

I found out some more info, it looks like part # F6FF-18C830-AA and is 
specified as Ford logo but made by Sony.  It's silver in color and does, indeed, 
have a separate  RF modulator about the size of a paperback, and this indeed is 
where the red and white RCA cables go.  Now I have to follow the cables and 
find it, make sure nothing fell out there, boy this system has a lot of pieces to 
it.  And, I'm still not convinced a problem in that area would cause the 
remote to not want to "wake up"...

Please, I know we went through that damn thread already about clicking a 
"START" button to turn something off, and vice versa.  OK, FOR REAL, what about 
this?  The button is labeled "OFF".  Is the remote's LCD supposed to light up 
automatically when I start the car, and that's why the button is labeled "OFF"?  
Or do I have to click "OFF" to turn it on once the ignition key's on?!  No 
matter how much I click the sucka' it don't do nuthin.
