[Shotimes] Help with Fuel system problem.

Wow! I've had that same exact problem (different car) and actually
also arrived at the incorrect conclusion that the fuel pressure
regulator was at fault.
About fuel pumps, what mods drive you to need a 255 lph pump? I am
starting to face the reality that sooner more likely than later my
12 yr old fuel pump will need to be replaced.
