Mike, That is a very good question. That is, how do you really know
if your ABS is working correctly? After I replaced the left rear
ABS cable on my 92 to make the ABS light go away, I wanted to know
if the system really was working. So I asked the question. The
answer I got (thanks to DonD) was actually quite simple. Find
stretch of flat road that has grass alongside it. Get the car up to
30 MPH, get the right two wheels on the grass and then stand on the
brakes. You should definitely feel the the ABS controller releasing
the brakes (rapid pulsation) on the right side of the car to prevent
them from locking up. The car should track straight. Repeat for
left side of car.

Caveat emptor, blah blah blah... ; )
