[Shotimes] OT - Atkins

I'm lazy in the late fall thru the winter. I mountain bike just about every
day in the summer, and if I'm not riding, I'm kayaking. When I get back from
TN in a month and a half, I'm taking a job that is 2.5 miles away from my
home, so that I can ride my bike to and from work, then have a friend pick
me up after work to go to some of the trails we ride on a regular basis that
are about 5-6 miles outside of town.
I'm doing Atkins just to get a jumpstart on getting back down to my normal
riding weight of 190 or less. Following a diet program like Atkins should
get me there a month sooner than just exercise alone, the lighter I get the
faster I can ride. And just to tie it into cars, if I drop down to my real
goal weight of 175 that's 50lbs faster that my car is too :-)

Not trying to rain on anyone's parade. If it works for ya, go for it. But
whatever happened to just good ole exercise? I eat what I want, ride my
bike to class, and when practical, all around Greensboro (saves on gas ;-),
and maybe go to the gym 3 times a week. 19 years old, don't really drink,
did get lazy last fall and gained 30 pounds (not really proud of that), but
have lost 5 pounds in the last month just eating what I want and doing those
things that I've mentioned. I'm going to keep it up, and hopefully get back
some of that metabolism. Or does this work for me because I'm still young?
