BS!!
Let me recount my short trip for errands that I did an hour ago.
Pulled out of the sub unto the 55 mph road. Hit 7K in 1st & 2nd, the hauled
down to go to the Post Office.
Pulled out of the Post Office in a 40 mph zone, hit 7K in 1st, then shifted
to 4th.
Left the Muffler Man, where I dropped off two front rotors for turning, and
hit 7K in 1st, then shifted to 4th in the 40 mph zone. Went to the car wash.
Had to make a left across traffic pulling out of the car wash in a 45 mph
zone. Did 7K I 1st and 2nd pulling out.
After stopping for gas and pulling in to the butcher next door, I did a 7k
1-2 shift in a 55 mph zone getting into traffic before driving home.
Let's see.....that's eight 7K rpm runs over the span of a 5-mile drive.
Pretty typical. I did this for 10 years and 182K miles on the original '89
(which, with 200K+ miles will still beat most SHOs, plus gets 30 mpg on the
highway).
I've been driving the three SHOs since then the same way. BTW, my last
speeding ticket was in 5/96.
